Stress conquers our system when the
pressure we receive exceeds our personal perception of our ability to cope.
Many are the possible reasons why human beings suffer stress, and people also
have different levels of handling the pressure. When we are deeply consumed
with stress, we fell like there is nothing in this world that can deliver us
from sure madness.
Stress
can be caused by a rollercoaster of emotions, or it may be brought about by
events in life such as the loss of a loved one, unsatisfactory career, or
simple things such as a toddler’s tantrums or a lost smartphone. Contrary to what we think, man has more control to
himself more that he can imagine. But what ruins a person more than the
external forces of stress are the internal components of stress that he himself
causes.
Low self-esteem
Your
perception of yourself is what drives you every morning to chase your
heartbeats and be the person that you really are. If you have a poor image of
yourself, you are weighing yourself down; thus when given added pressure, you
just fall apart even for the little things.
Also if you have a poor image of yourself, you will spend the rest of
your life stressing on comparing yourself from others who are prettier, sexier,
richer, or whatever than you. It’s like you are torturing yourself, giving
yourself the extra burden even though it’s not needed.
Superwoman complex
Being
independent is different from having a superwoman complex. Some women believe
that they can do everything in this world and that nothing is impossible with
hard work. If you keep on pushing
yourself to the limit just to prove that you are not inferior, you will end up
falling apart and no person or latest gadget will be able to help you. Overloading yourself with multiple roles
and responsibilities is one more reason to stress yourself. You burn yourself
out trying to prove to other people that you are one strong person, but what you
don’t know is that you are the one ruining yourself.
Paranoia
Paranoia
is also one culprit that could heighten anyone’s stress level to the roof. It
can be as simple as when your husband is not replying to your text messages and
you already start this scenario in your mind of the out of this world things
that your husband might be doing that exact moment. You flood yourself with
negative thoughts and mental and emotional stress even before it really
happens. Paranoia is very dangerous; it can bring about nervous breakdown.
Stress
is a part of life; it will only affect you if you let it in. As they always say
you have the power to liberate yourself from burden.
