The Right Operating System for Your Tablet

A lot of people—especially if they are just having the idea of buying tablet PCs—tend to buy a tablet without really having a review on the tablet. They just buy it most of the time because of aesthetics and because the salesperson is just outright a great speaker. But trust me with this one: more often than not, these people are just “sugar-coating.” They tend to tell you everything good about the tablet, and they zip their mouth about the tablet’s drawback. Would it hurt if you would review the specs of a tablet so you could enjoy all its features? Certainly not! I bet it would hurt only if you are not satisfied with your tablet, and you have spent a real pretty penny down there.
Some people might even think of buying extra tablet accessories—thinking that these would maximize their tablets potential. But, here’s the thing: If you don’t know how to communicate well with your gizmo, you’ll end up being frustrated, to the point that you would demand to give your money back. If only you knew how to understand your tablet. Hmm, the only way to communicate with your tablet is to learn its language. In this gizmo, the language is their operating system. Do you know any of them? I’m sure you do. But, let’s take a rundown with each OS so you can justify your taste:

#1: Android

Who haven’t heard of this OS? Android is very popular not just on tablets but also on smartphones. It is designed by the search giant, Google. It is by far the closest competition to Apple iOS. The two main versions of Android were the older Gingerbread Android 2.3.x and the now outdated Android 3.x, which is also known as Honeycomb. The former was specifically designed for smartphones and can be deployed to older or cheaper tablet models, while the latter was specifically deployed to tablets, and it has numerous advantages, too. The latest version of Android is called Jelly Bean Android 4.1+, which is an evolution of the previous Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0. If you are keen enough to notice, every version of the platform is named from an alphabet order of sweets. This OS is highly flexible as you can install apps from third-party market places. What’s even greater about it is that you can tweak the entire interface. Of course, since Google made it, Google services are at the heart of Android, which is indeed highly polished. The only downside here is that it doesn’t have consistency with its design, making it harder to learn the interface.

#2: Apple iOS

The iOS for iDevices sure is real slick! Who wouldn’t know Apple iOS? They were the first one who made the wave of touchscreens. Thus, when it comes to touch interface, it is very responsive. If Android managed to tweak and tweak its interface, Apple maintained its design so it would be easy for users to learn.  What’s unlikely with this OS is that you are stuck with iTunes store and nothing else. Hardware for Apple is also limited as well that comes with a real pretty penny.

#3: BlackBerry Tablet OS

This OS, as evident with its name, is developed for its Playbook tablet only. It enables you to do multi-tasking with tablet as it allows you to run multiple apps at once and browse the web with nearly all the features you’d expect. If you’re a sucker for BBs, then you’d definitely love this OS. But, now that BlackBerry 10 has been released, things would definitely turn around any minute now, as it is said that this current tablet is a dying platform.

#4: Windows

First known on PCs, now it’s on smartphones and tablets! Windows 8 is now popping fresh as it has been a dedicated tablet OS. Windows had it all revamped as they cannot use their previous versions to touch interface. With its newly revamped OS, it is said that there’s a lot of hype behind it. And this could be a real interesting one. But do bear in mind as well that it’s going to take time for users to learn its interface.

So before pumping your tablet with energy through your USB chargers, make sure that you know your tablet inside-out. In this way, you’ll know how to communicate with your tablet.

Use Your Charger Wisely

When we bought our hard-earned, nifty smartphone, it comes in a box that includes earphones, the phone itself, manual, and the charger. We overuse the phone and earphones, and we hardly read the manual. We only know chargers if our phone’s battery ran out of juice. But what we often overlook at times are things that really deserve attention. These accessories need more attention than you think even from all-posh phones to cheap mobile phones. Let the focus be on chargers.

Chargers, which are notoriously diverse, are not really chargers as what we ought to think of them. They are only power adapters that give a power source for the charging circuitry. It can either be a cell phone charger, battery charger for vehicles, stationary battery plants, and *insert all man-made chargers here*. We all need them to sustain the functionality of our gadgets. So if you want your phone to be recharged again, better take care of your portable chargers. Here are some quick guides on taking care of your mobile phone chargers:

#1: Don’t use your charger in tight places. This applies more to tropical countries. If you neglect this, overheating may arise which can lead to malfunction of charger, or worse, fire.

#2: Plug the charger on its appropriate voltage. Some chargers need their voltage regulated right, or else, you can bid goodbye to your device. Although chargers nowadays are already flexible when it comes to voltage, just be mindful of some that sticks to their own voltage rate. Check your manual to be guided. Make use of it.

#3: Unplug charger if not in use. Like every other resource, you’ve got to learn how to use it; you’ve got to learn how to save it. But, go easy on unplugging it, for it may damage the charger. Unplug it like how you have plugged it—don’t just pull its cord.

#4: Keep it in a dry place. All the electrically driven devices need to be kept in a dry place, and same is true with your charger. Make sure your hands are dry when you are going to plug your charger to the circuit. And one more thing, remove any possible conductive materials that could trigger short circuit. It’s better to prevent accidents than be electrocuted! Yikes!

#5: Clean it with care. Once in a while, we have to clean or devices to prolong their good functionality. But, when we’re talking about gadgets, liquid solutions would never be an option. You just have to wipe it with a soft, clean, and dry cloth to wipe away all kinds of debris or dust. Don’t even think about using damp cloths! Just keep the cleaning cloth dry, and it will do what it has to do.

It’s best to take care of your chargers so you wouldn’t be obliged to buy a new one which may cost a lot. Don’t even think of settling with replica ones, or you’ll be damaging your phone extensively in no time. If it malfunctioned, don’t attempt to repair it. Go to the nearest authorized repair depot so they could resolve the issue.

Talk About Love

Everybody claims they have fallen in love but only a few are aware of how. They simply reason out that they love him or her just because they do—no further explanation. But then again, people fall in love in different ways; they also feel loved in different ways as well. Love sustains as the love given is reciprocated even in diversified way. Love is profound and I couldn’t agree more. And it’s the only word that only two hearts can understand. How? It’s through Love Language. Gary Chapman says, “People feel loved when a partner expresses love in the language that is natural to the recipient. If love is expressed in a different language, the message of love isn’t received.” Do you know your Love Language? Love Language is classified into five. Let’s find out yours.

1.       Words of Affirmation. This is done by professing and professing sweet words to your partner. It is a form of appreciation. Take for example, the husband or boyfriend fixes the portable charger of his girl, and the girl gives praise to his man. The guy would feel his manliness as his girl appreciates her. It may be the other way around in which the person itself expresses this love language by appreciating his or her partner simply because of the golden rule: Do to others as you would have them do to you. By then, there would be a great possibility that his or her partner reciprocates the love he or she gives in the same way.

2.       Quality Time. This type of language is about giving your better half your undivided attention. Some couples believe that being together and doing things together is the best way to show love. Focusing on your partner, if this is his or her language, will make her feel more loved than the gifts given. I guess the song Together Forever was inspired by this language.

3.       Receiving Gifts. Although giving gifts is already a human protocol, still some people feel more loved when they receive gifts. It’s not necessary that the gifts should be expensive. As long as their partner remembers to give them gifts on special occasions—or sometimes even on casual days—they feel more appreciated. Trust me, even if you’ll buy just some iPhone Accessories, she will definitely kiss you with all her heart’s content! Not that they are materialistic, or okay, maybe a little. But most often than not, they just want to reminisce things as they see tangible things given by their dear ones.

4.       Acts of Service. This involves a lot of creativity, time and either a great or can be just a little effort. Evidently, action speaks louder than words for these people. It may be as simple as helping him or her on doing dishes or any kind of house chores. Or it may be helping him or her to choose on an online mobile store about her phone and stuff. Acts of service need not to be that extravagant. It can be just anything like making him or her coffee in the morning as long as it is done with joy.

5.       Physical Touch. This is not outright the same as sex or all about the bedroom. The people who have this language are, not surprisingly, touchy. It can either be just pat on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face. Physical touch is a way to show excitement, concern, care, and love.

Although it’s good to know what our love language is, it’s better to know the language of our partner in a way that they’d feel the love you share. We must find a way to express our love that suits our partner for Chapman said, “Unless you speak the proper language, your message of love won’t be heard.”

The Most Efficient Muscle-busting Routine

Have you ever wondered why no matter how many hours you spend in the gym, that stubborn fat on your belly, behind your back, and on your thighs won’t shrink? That just shows how being in great shape and bulking those muscles, is so much hard work. However, it doesn’t have to be that complicated; all you have to do is follow 3 basic rules to make your workout more effective and more efficient. Here they are.

1.       Stick to the basics. Experts in the field of physical fitness have long been searching what are the best workout routines that target most muscle groups. Through years of research, they have found a handful of exercises that show best results. Stick to the classics, such as squats and deadlifts. These work effectively since they force you to use multiple muscle groups at once. The more muscles that are used, the more heat produced and fat burned.

2.       Go for less cardio. Aerobic respiration is a chemical process in the body that requires oxygen to produce a significant amount of energy. It’s comparable to plugging your smartphone to a fast portable charger that replenishes its battery life in an instant rather than a slow one that could take several hours. Cardio is an aerobic exercise that promotes breathing, and it is a great way to burn calories. On the other hand, weight training is an activity that burns fat. I bet, the one you want to get rid of is the stubborn fat stuck beneath your skin, am I right? Therefore, lifting weights is far more effective when losing those build-ups. Additionally, building muscle mass makes your metabolism faster. So, after your weight training, that is the best time to go for cardio exercise. Make cardio a secondary activity to lifting weights for better results.

3.       Make your workouts more intense. Some people think that spending several hours in the gym will speed up the results. This is somewhat true but not efficient. Just imagine spending so many hours in there when you can be spending the other hours doing something else. The most effective and efficient workouts are the ones more intense. Longer workouts are not better workouts; intense workouts are. Take heed in this advice: transforming your body does not take a lot of time; it requires a lot of effort. When hitting the gym, make sure that your heart rate is elevated and that you should be sweating really hard and feeling your muscles work. Make your every session the hardest workout you have ever done in your entire life. Though they are not that long, you’ll absolutely see results faster.

Absolutely, achieving a fit body isn’t as easy as shopping in online mobile stores. It takes a lot of time and effort before you can see the results. It only takes dedication, willpower, and the proper information to see the results through.
